If you do a search for Annapolis Hotel’s you see a bunch in downtown, and a cluster out by the mall (near the intersection of MD Rt 2 and Riva Rd. Based on the location of Port Annapolis and the usual weekend traffic in downtown we are recommending the Riva Rd area hotels. In particular Erika and I have stayed at the Best Western and found it to be clean and reasonably priced. If anyone is interested in really splurging and getting the ‘royal’ Annapolis experience I would recommend the Waterfront Marriot or the Loews Hotel in downtown. Erika will be staying at the Waterfront Marriot Friday night and we both will on Saturday.

I got a room at the Loews in town because it is puppy friendly. Tony, do you have any advice on using the water taxi service to get from hotels to port annapolis marina or just around town in General? I called their number, but in seemingly typical waterman fashion, they were not very giving with the information:)
