Leading up to the season I heard alot about the special $5 tickets at the Nat’s ballpark but finding info online, especially through the Nat’s own site is tricky. Here are some details as I’ve gone to 3 games so far this season with the $5 tickets.
- Day of game sale only
- Only 400 available so they do sell out quickly
- Sales start 2-2 1/2 hours prior to start*
- Only 1 ticket per person present at the box office
- Sales at the NE above ground parking garage box office (to the left of the Half St entrance to the park)
- Seats are consist of sections 401 and 402, upper left field gallery – check out the Nat’s seating chart
*If you stop by earlier in the day and ask for the sales time for a game the response is usually “4:30, 5:00ish” and in three trys we’ve had start times of 4:35, 4:55 and 4:35.
I think the tickets are well worth it, the view over your left shoulder of the Capitol, Washington Monument and SE, SW DC is fantastic… and at the 7:10-7:35 games the sunset can be dramatic. I don’t think there is a bad seat in the whole park but its also worth noting that for $5 you feel even better about taking in a couple of innings in the bleachers then moving down to the Red Loft bar in centerfield.
Hope this helps anyone looking for info, see you at the park!

Thanks for the info, my wife and I will be making the trip to the new stadium at the end of July from Florida and have heard of the $5.00 tickets with little information about where/how to get them. Good post!
